Bennett Hall and Hathaway Hall
Bennett Hall and Hathaway Hall's redevelopment is considered Phase One of GROWTH's overall redevelopment effort within Shimer Square. A total of 30 different floor plans will be incorporating the history and offer residential rental units ranging from 458-791 square feet. Hathaway Hall will offer units ranging from 415-654 square feet, all of which comes with a full appliance package and in-unit washer and dryers.
McKee/ Hostetter Hall and Dezendorf Hall
McKee/Hostetter Hall are connected buildings that reside in the center of the Shimer Square campus. Dezendorf Hall resides on the southern part of the campus near the historic former gymnasium. More than $25 million will be invested into these properties. The three properties will be fully rehabilitated and redeveloped into a total of 51 units of rental, workforce housing featuring studio, one, two, and three bedroom units ranging in size from 750-1,125 square feet. Community amenities will also be added including a community room, activity room, library/reading area. Additional amenities will be made to the campus within this phase of redevelopment including a community garden, bike racks, picnic tables, grills, and walking path improvements.
